My name is Caitlin Kempen, and I am the "art hopeful" that is Burning Soul Creations. I don't personally have a huge background when it comes to art, but I come from two fantastically artistic people that never cease to amaze me with their crafting abilitites.
My mother has been a painter for almost 30 years, and her expertise shines in her paint strokes. When she wasn't painting, she was hand-cutting delicate lampshades. My father recently retired and has found his calling in widdling and painting beautiful decoys (frogs, fish, birds, insects). As a great touch to his wooden creations, he also uses old (1930-1950's) license plates as a medium. He uses the license plate metal for anything from fish fins, to frogs tongues, to teeth on a musky. I look forward to seeing the beautiful creations they will make together in the future. As a team, they build willow funiture from their own designs. You can find their willow pieces showcased in their front yard from spring to fall. Stop in at the Old Mill in Waupun, as they're always open to special orders.
